I have revised the permission settings for posting on the blog (as described in this post) in the hope of making the process of commenting here less frustrating.

I would be delighted to hear from just about anyone (spambots excepted) and will do my best to reply to comments in a timely manner. Please be aware, however, that it can sometimes still take longer than I’d like to sit down to write a response — especially if I need to think a bit about the answer.
